Dantoy Bio-Plastic is made of a HD-Polyethylene from renewable sugarcane grown on controlled, non-toxic plantations in central and southern Brazil
During production the sugar cane is "crushed" up to five times.
The sugar juice obtained by the first two crushing cycles is used for sugar production.
Whereas the more diluted Juice B is extracted by adding water to the last three crushing cycles.
Since it no longer has the pure sugar crystals needed for food sugar production after the 2 first extractions, the Juice B is not "good enough" for this purpose and the Juice goes to ethanol production.
So theoretically, no raw materials are used to produce Green Bio PE which could have been used for food production. And no special fields have been used to produce the ethanol for the Bio plastic production.
